Business Listings Database and Members Only Area
Most associations, chambers or convention & visitors bureaus are a collaboration of business people, public and private organizations and agencies. The usiness Listings Database has been developed as part of the overall Web presence for our clients. This gives the individuals that are helping to steer and guide the efforts of association the ability to maintain an online, real time database of information on the public portion of the site.
The Gaslight Media Business Listings Database application includes the following features:
- Member’s capability to update and maintain their personal business/organization data using a unique user id/password to access this information. This is programmed to notify the site administrator when changes have been submitted, and approve changes prior to being placed live on the Web site;
- Unlimited capability to create member categories and sub-categories under the main category. For example, Accommodations is listed as main category, with Hotel/Motel, Resorts, Campgrounds, etc., listed under main category. Each member can be flagged to multiple categories created within member database, achieving the goal of visitors finding the various resources of travel information
- Member record fields include all noted required fields of the Web site architecture. These fields can also include many other featured fields, such as expanded record listings with additional image uploads, a checklist of selectable amenities, credit cards accepted, travel package text and membership status;
- Mapping program interfaced with addresses contained within the database for driving directions and Lat/Long data fields for proximity to attractions and destinations;
- Ability to manage event listings, business data, online promotions and coupons;
- Retrieve Contact/Visitor information from the contact database. This is limited to only visitors that flagged their record as requesting additional information being sent to them by an association member.
With the construction of this module into the Web site, your organization or association will be able to categorize your members based on their Member type, and the Web site will be constructed to pull data queries of the Member types, automatically displaying within predefined areas of the Web site.
Your association will also have the capability to communicate with members in an electronic Email newsletter, configured and designed to automatically query the member database using the member contact email address field.
